Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

Eliya Smith built Two Girls out of things people actually said, then handed it to two performers and a stage about the size of a living room. Chloe Claudel and Juliana Sass play the pair, Claudel and Mitchell Polonsky co-direct, and the piece was developed with the experimental company The Goat Exchange — fair warning that it goes to places about bodies, sex and disgust that politer plays walk around.
It is a world premiere, it is two people, and the room is small enough that you will hear every pause. Performances run October 7 through November 8, 2026 at Cherry Lane Theatre on Commerce Street, with opening night October 18. Curtain is 9:30pm, which is the correct hour for this material.
School Pictures plays the same stage at 7pm, so you can stack both in one night and still get home at a decent time. Cherry Lane holds 167 people in the West Village, and a show this close-quarters plays far better from inside a small house than a big one.
