Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.
Shared door. This door also serves the Pershing Square Signature Center — Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre and the Pershing Square Signature Center — Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, so some of the crowd is waiting for a different show.
No public door. Performers leave through the lobby, the same way you did. There is nowhere separate to wait.

Joanna is in her mid-thirties and ready to become a parent. So she invites her three siblings to her New York City apartment to ask them for a favor — a shocking one. What follows is a wry, heartfelt world-premiere comedy-drama about four adults who have known each other their whole lives suddenly being forced to actually meet each other. Whether they leave closer or permanently in the group-chat-mute zone is anyone’s guess.
Playwright Bryna Turner and director Jenna Worsham are the team behind the New York Times Critic’s Pick At the Wedding, so the laugh-to-emotional-ambush ratio should be expertly calibrated.
Second Stage presents the world premiere at the Pershing Square Signature Center’s Irene Diamond Stage. Previews begin October 21, 2026; opening night is November 5. Bring a sibling. Or don’t. That’s the whole drama.
