About the show

The Lowdown

What do you do with the time you have left? Nick Blaemire's musical Soon hands that question to Charlie, a twenty-something who has decided the world is ending and has settled in to wait for it. Her friend Jonah has other ideas — mainly that she start living before the clock runs out. But first Charlie has to do the single hardest thing she can imagine: open the front door.

Arriving at The Loft at St. Luke's Theatre and directed by Will Blum, Soon is a small, warm, tuneful show about dread, hope, and the terrifying act of stepping outside. Blaemire writes the kind of pop-forward theater songs that stick to you on the subway ride home, and a tight cast — Oliver Richman, Ava Delaney, Mylinda Hull, and Mike Millan — brings it to life.

An intimate Midtown musical, exactly the kind we love to send you to. First previews September 30.
