Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Everybody knows the Titanic sank. Hardly anybody knows that six Chinese seamen survived it and were then quietly left out of the story. The Unsinkable, a world premiere by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig, fixes that, and it is not a quiet show about it either.
Seventeen-year-old Little Fong makes it out of the freezing Atlantic alive, and then finds that staying alive inside his own head is the harder job. The play jumps from Liverpool to Chinatown to the sugarcane fields of Cuba to a Chicago nursing home in 1986, and it tells all of it with puppetry, dance and Chinese opera. Aya Ogawa directs. No icebergs were harmed in the writing of this description.
It plays the Perelman Performing Arts Center, the big marble cube at the World Trade Center, from February 10 to March 7, 2027. Cast to be announced. A true story most of us never heard, told in a building that still feels brand new: we're in.
