Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Abigail and Shaun Bengson have made a career out of turning their own lives into songs, and Ohio might be their most personal one yet. The married indie-folk duo created and perform this new musical, which follows Shaun's walk away from the church and toward music, and then the gut punch of learning he has acute degenerative hearing loss.
What does a musician do when the sound starts to slip away? In this case, he decides to live loudly and joyfully anyway, and he takes the audience along for the ride. Caitlin Sullivan directs.
Ohio won a Scotsman Fringe First at the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe and went on to the Bristol Old Vic and the Young Vic in London. Now it makes its New York debut at the Greenwich House Theater, 27 Barrow Street in the West Village, from January 17 to March 27, 2027, with opening night on January 26. Ticket details are still to come.
The Bengsons already gave New York The Lucky Ones and Where the Mountain Meets the Sea. Expect folk harmonies, a few tears and the kind of show you hum all the way home on the 1 train.
