About the show

The Lowdown

Arthur Miller wrote it as a Greek tragedy that happens to be set near the Brooklyn Bridge, and it has lost none of its grip. Neil Pepe directs a cast that would be the envy of any house in town: Sam Rockwell as Eddie, Marin Ireland as Beatrice, and Alfred Molina as Alfieri, the lawyer who narrates a disaster he can see coming and cannot stop.

This is the first Off-Broadway revival of the play in sixty years, running at La MaMa’s 299-seat Ellen Stewart Theatre from November 27, 2026 through February 27, 2027. Three hundred seats, three actors of that caliber, one of the great American plays. Do the math and book early.
