Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

Nothing says "dinner party" like a body in the trunk. The New Group is dusting off Patrick Hamilton's pitch-black thriller Rope in a new adaptation by Gordon Greenberg, directed by Scott Elliott, and it is coming to Theatre at St. Clement's in Hell's Kitchen this fall.
Two Princeton graduate students decide to commit the perfect murder, stash their victim in a trunk, and then host a dinner party right on top of it. Inspired by the Leopold and Loeb case (and the inspiration for Hitchcock's 1948 film), it is a cat-and-mouse evening where every passed plate and polite toast tightens the knot.
The cast is stacked: Elizabeth Gillies, Jason Butler Harner as the sharp-eyed Rupert Cadell, Corey Fogelmanis, Cameron Monaghan, Graham Phillips and James Waterston. Previews begin October 13, 2026, opening night is November 3, and the run is scheduled through December 6, 2026.
St. Clement's is an intimate house of about 150 seats, so you will be close enough to hear the lid creak. Grab tickets early and maybe skip the buffet afterwards.
