About the show

The Lowdown

Plug in the amp. Meet Me at the End of the World is a solo rock musical from Lower East Side punk lifer Jesse Malin, written with Wilder L. Ludwig, about a career spent in clubs, vans and record stores, and the 2023 spinal stroke that nearly ended all of it.

Malin plays himself and tells the story of getting back up, with the songs to carry it. It's raw, funny and a little loud, which is how a downtown rock show should be. Ellie Heyman directs.

It plays The Public's Shiva Theater, a 99-seat room at 425 Lafayette Street, May 4 to June 13, 2027, with opening night May 12. That is a very small room for a rock show, so expect to feel the kick drum.
