Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
All aboard the Aqua Royale, a luxury cruise from Paris to Portugal where the drinks are cold, the cabins are gorgeous and nearly everyone is hiding something. Before long the voyage turns into a high-seas heist, and nobody on deck is quite who they say they are.
Wonder! A Woman Keeps A Secret is Talene Monahon's new adaptation of Susanna Centlivre's 1714 farce, moved to 2027 and packed with a money-grubbing matriarch, a lonely toilet maid and a lascivious lady detective. Centlivre was one of the most popular playwrights of her century, and Monahon (Jane Anger) is exactly the right person to put her back on a New York stage with the mischief turned all the way up. There's an original song by Mark Sonnenblick, too.
It plays Classic Stage Company on East 13th Street, with previews from May 7, 2027 and a final performance June 13, 2027 (dates subject to change). Director and cast are still to come. CSC is an intimate room, so every seat is close enough to catch the secrets.
