The Lowdown
The show takes the 1992 film and turns it into a high-octane spectacle of vanity and physical comedy. Madeline Ashton is a fading star holding onto her relevance by a thread, while Helen Sharp is the editor whose life she dismantled. They discover a potion for eternal youth that comes with the minor side effect of being technically dead. It is a cynical, campy look at our city’s obsession with aging and image.
