Aladdin is a Broadway musical based on the 1992 Disney animated film of the same name. The music is written by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman, Tim Rice and Chad Beguelin. The story follows Aladdin, a street urchin, as he falls in love with Princess Jasmine and uses a genie’s magic power to become a prince to marry her. The musical features classic songs from the film such as “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me,” as well as new songs written specifically for the stage production.
