Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
It's Oscar's Eve, and Cate Blanchett has turned into an awards-season Scrooge. So the universe sends three spirits to set her straight, and every one of them is Nicole Kidman. Past, present and a deeply alarming future, all delivered by the one person Cate least wants to see glide through her door.
A Kidman Carol is a brand-new holiday comedy written by Kevin Zak and directed by Skylar Fox, with Marla Mindelle (Titanique) as Nicole Kidman and Josh Sharp as Cate Blanchett. Think Dickens, but the ghosts have a publicist and the chains are couture. The producers bill it as a surreal holiday comedy that should leave you laughing and maybe a tiny bit changed, which is about all anyone can ask of December.
It plays New World Stages on West 50th Street, with previews from November 16, 2026, opening night November 30, and a final performance December 30. More casting is still to come. Book early, because a holiday run this short and this silly tends to sell out before the tinsel goes up.
