About the show

The Lowdown

Directed by Cal McCrystal, the physical-comedy brain behind One Man, Two Guvnors and the Paddington films, it lands somewhere between a lecture, a striptease and a nervous breakdown. It is silly, it is filthy, it is weirdly educational, and it is absolutely not for the kids — strictly 18+, and yes, there is nudity. Think of it as your high-school English syllabus, if your teacher had zero shame and excellent comic timing.

A limited fall run at one of Midtown’s newest houses. If you like your culture with a side of chaos, book early — the funny ones sell out fast.
