Stage Door
Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
You have had the morbs. Everyone has had the morbs. It is that Victorian word for the low, drifting gloom that shows up uninvited on a Tuesday and refuses to explain itself. Somebody finally wrote a play about it.
The Morbs opens October 27, 2026 at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre, one of the two houses inside A.R.T./New York Theatres on West 53rd Street. Eighty-seven seats. That is smaller than most school auditoriums, which is the whole appeal: a play about interior weather works best when you can hear everyone breathing.
New work at this scale is where the good surprises live. No marketing department has sanded the edges off it, nothing has been focus-grouped into safety, and the people making it are doing so because they want to rather than because a spreadsheet said to.
Closing date has not been announced yet. We will update this page the moment it is, and you can check back here for tickets, rush and lottery news as it appears.
