Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Four-part harmony, straw boaters and a landlord who deserves a pie in the face. The Apple Boys is a new barbershop quartet musical set in Gilded Age Coney Island, and it's headed Off-Broadway after a run at Bucks County Playhouse.
Jack Chapman III, a descendant of Johnny Appleseed himself, teams up with his working-class buddies to save the family orchard from a crooked landlord. The book is by Jonothon Lyons with music and lyrics by Ben Bonnema, David Alpert directs and Marc Kimelman choreographs. LaChanze is among the producers, and the team is openly aiming for Broadway after this.
Previews begin February 16, 2027 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a 199-seat house steps from Times Square, with opening night February 25 and a run through June 18, 2027. Casting hasn't been announced yet, so check back. In the meantime, practice your bass line.
