Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

Atlantic for Kids is heading underwater this winter, and the guest of honor is a young shark with a very big dream. Finn would much rather sing than snack, which, as you can imagine, goes over about as well as you would expect at a shark family dinner table.
This New York premiere musical comes from Chris Nee (the creator behind a whole shelf of beloved kids' television), with music and lyrics by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond and direction by Ryan Dobrin. It is a coming-of-age story with fins: Finn wants to follow his own song rather than the one everybody expects him to swim to, and the reef has opinions about that.
It plays Atlantic Stage 2 on West 16th Street, a 99-seat room where nobody is more than a few rows from the action, which is exactly the kind of place a kid should meet their first musical. Performances run December 12, 2026 through January 31, 2027. Bring the small humans. Bring the shark jokes. There will be room for both.
