A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

It is 1985, the leotards are neon, and 80s pop star Tiffany is making her New York stage debut in an aerobics musical. That sentence is the whole pitch and it does not need any help.
Spandex the Musical plants itself in the golden age of the workout video — leg warmers, sweatbands, a step class with stakes — and treats it with exactly the affection and exactly the eye-rolling it deserves. Tiffany, who spent 1987 at number one singing about how we're alone now, leads a cast that commits fully to the grapevine.
It is at Asylum NYC on East 24th Street, a 150-seat room where you are close enough to see whether anyone is actually out of breath. First performance was September 17 and the run closes September 27, 2026, so this is an eleven-day window, not a sit-down.
Go for the bit. Stay because an 80s pop star doing live theater eight feet from you is a genuinely strange and delightful thing to witness.
