Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Twenty years of waiting, a house full of suitors eating her out of house and home, and a husband who may or may not be walking through the door tonight. Penelope hands the Odyssey back to the person who stayed home, puts her at a piano with a band, and lets her tell it her way.
Grace McLean plays her, and if you saw her in Great Comet or Natasha-adjacent circles you already know the voice — big, strange, funny, capable of turning a joke into a gut punch inside one bar. The show won the 2026 Richard Rodgers Award and sold out its run at the Edinburgh Fringe before Classic Stage Company added it to the season as a late addition.
Here is the catch: it plays for eleven days. December 10 through December 20, in the 199-seat Lynn F. Angelson Theater on East 13th Street, and then it is gone. Short runs at CSC go quickly, and this one has an award and a Fringe reputation attached, so we would not wait until the week of.
