Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Saturday morning plans for the small people in your life: sorted. Nutty Natty's Magic Puppet Show makes its New York premiere at The Theater Center's Jerry Orbach Theatre this fall, and it is built for kids who like puppets, magic tricks and yelling helpful advice at the stage.
It plays one show a week, Saturdays at 11am, so it slots right in between pancakes and the afternoon nap. The Theater Center sits on West 50th Street in the middle of Midtown, a short walk from the Rockefeller Center tree once the holiday season kicks in, which makes for a very easy family day out.
Performances run Saturdays from November 14, 2026 through January 9, 2027. That works out to about nine shows total, and family theater on a Saturday morning sells out fast around the holidays, so grab seats for the whole crew early. Bonus: an 11am curtain means everyone is home before the meltdown window opens.
