About the show

The Lowdown

SoHo Playhouse has quietly turned into the place where a comic goes when an hour of material has grown into an actual show. Louis Katz: Conflicted is the next one, running September 17 through October 18, 2026, at 15 Vandam Street.

Katz has been doing this a long time — Comedy Central, late night, a couple of specials, the kind of career where people recognize the voice before the face. Conflicted is him working through the parts of his own life he has not made peace with, out loud, in front of strangers, for about seventy-five minutes. It is a comedy show. It is also, in places, not remotely a comedy show, which is the part that sticks with you on the walk to the train.

The room seats under 200, so the front row is genuinely the front row and he can see you deciding whether to laugh. That is a feature.

Tickets are through SoHoPlayhouse.com. It runs a month, and then it is gone.
