Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Isabel, a new play by Anthony M. Laura, runs at the A.R.T./New York Mezzanine Theatre from August 1 through August 29, 2027, produced by Face to Face Films.
Brianne Buishas plays Isabel Potter, an Academy Award-winning actress who takes a job in an Off-Broadway production called The Girl with the Red Hair, set in a psychiatric hospital. Rehearsals start pulling at things in her own history, and the line between the part and the person doing the part stops holding. Templar Grace Wright is also in the cast.
The Mezzanine is one of A.R.T./New York's two rental houses at 502 West 53rd Street, 149 seats, and it is where a lot of independent companies get their first properly equipped New York run. A play about an actress losing track of where the performance ends is a good fit for a room where the audience is close enough to watch it happen.
This one is a long way out, so treat the dates as announced rather than settled. Check back here for tickets and for any rush or lottery once one turns up.
