Almond (Girl from the North Country, Gossip Girl) takes Homer’s epic and reroutes it through modern dating, where the monsters are nosy neighbors, a seductive cult, a self-obsessed vampire, and a cat with a one-way ticket to the underworld. Tony winner David Cromer (The Band’s Visit, Our Town) directs, and musicians Erin Hill (harp and vocals) and Luke McCrosson (bass) keep the voyage afloat.
