How to Roll a Blunt (stylized lowercase, because the show is cooler than we are) is a warm, irreverent dramedy about love, friendship, and the gloriously ridiculous entanglements of young adulthood — by turns hilarious and profound, and above all a celebration of Black love in all its many forms.
Playwright and actor Naomi Lorrain (“Orange Is the New Black,” “Elementary”) wrote it; Colette Robert directs. The play was a finalist at the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, which is the theater world’s version of being very, very good at your job.
Second Stage presents the New York premiere at the Pershing Square Signature Center’s Irene Diamond Stage. Performances begin April 14, 2027, opening night April 28. RSVP yes. You know you’re going.
