The Lowdown
Dad Don’t Read This is Eliya Smith’s sharp, tender, wickedly funny play about the people who know you before you know anything about yourself — and the strange, dawning suspicion that someone else might be pulling the strings. Directed by Chloe Claudel and starring Amalia Yoo, Renée-Nicole Powell, Sophie Rossman, and Kayta Thomas, it’s 95 minutes of friendship, growing up, and the quiet horror of being seen.
Running Off-Broadway at the Greenwich House Theater in the West Village through July 11, 2026. Tickets have been selling out, so don’t dawdle. (And yes, Dad — this means you: don’t read this.)
