The Lowdown
The premise asks what happens if the teenager in Verona decides that swallowing poison for a guy she met three days ago is actually a bad life choice. Instead of the usual tragic finale, she heads to Paris with her nurse and a squad of friends to find herself. It is essentially a jukebox catalog for anyone who spent their teenage years listening to the radio on the Q train. Max Martin’s hits are stapled to the script with surprising efficiency, and the production team knows exactly how to pace a spectacle. If you can stomach the relentless sunshine, it is a decent night out. Just leave your Shakespeare purism at the curb.

Our verdict
Had front-row seats to the show. This is the fourth time I've seen it and the sixth time my daughter's seen it. She loved it, and it was enjoyable. We felt like we were in the show, and the singing and the acting are incredible. My favorite singer and actor is Anne Hathaway. She's awesome. Shakespeare is really good. Of course, Juliet is awesome. Romeo was great in this show, and my daughter's favorite was Frankie Dubois. She's looking forward to seeing it again very soon

Reader average 5.0 ★ · 1 reportIf you have a pre-teen, this is a great show. Also, a kid from the 90's enjoyed this as well bringing back some memories of some pop music. I have seen it 3 times and my daughter has seen it 4 times. Good for the whole family. TodayTix has some great seats available.
