Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

Be Bold! Productions hauls Scrooge back to MacDougal Street for the holidays, and the 199-seat Players Theatre is about the right size for a ghost story that ends in a hug.
Dickens' plot is intact and set to music: one spectacularly grumpy old man, three ghosts on a tight schedule, one very small Cratchit with the best line in the English language, and a change of heart that lands before bedtime. It moves quickly, which matters when part of your audience is seven.
This is the family-theater version, not the three-hour one. Songs, ghosts, a Christmas morning that feels earned, and an exit into Greenwich Village in December, which is its own kind of scenery.
Performances run November 29 through December 30, 2026. If you need one holiday tradition that does not involve standing in a line at Rockefeller Center, this is a reasonable candidate.
