The Lowdown
Inspired by Arthur Schnitzler’s La Ronde, The Circuit hands you wireless headphones and sends you walking through DUMBO behind its dancers. The whole play — whispered dialogue, inner monologues, an original EDM score — happens in your ears; the story itself is told through movement on real streets, under the Manhattan Bridge, past storefronts and alleys. No stage, no seat: you choose who to follow and what you witness. Produced by New York Theatre Company, co-directed by Josh Zacher and John Kroft, written by Connor Wentworth, score by Jacob Ryan Smith. 1 hr 25 min, outdoors, ages 16+.
