Joe Turner’s Come and Gone
It’s 1911, and in a Pittsburgh boarding house, Black Americans moving north during the Great Migration find refuge, kinship, and sometimes trouble. August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone — the second play in his Pittsburgh Cycle — returns to Broadway with Taraji P. Henson (Empire, Hidden Figures) making her Broadway debut as Bertha Holly, Cedric the Entertainer as Seth Holly, and Ruben Santiago-Hudson as Bynum Walker. Joshua Boone plays the haunted Herald Loomis.
Directed by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Debbie Allen. Ethel Barrymore Theatre, closes July 26, 2026.
