Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Most shows ask you to suspend disbelief. Ghost Notes asks whether anybody in row C has a grandmother named Rose. Psychic medium Jess Perlman hosts and narrates this one, set in the space between the living and whoever is still hanging around, and she does live readings with the audience while the Ghost Notes Band improvises the soundtrack on the spot.
So no two nights are the same, because the music follows the messages. Perlman wrote the show with Briga Heelan and Michael Schwartz, Rebekah Greer Melocik wrote the original title song, and Dana Iannuzzi directs. It runs about 90 minutes and is recommended for ages 10 and up.
The run is short and the schedule is unusual: Mondays and Thursdays at 6 PM and 9 PM, Wednesdays at 8 PM, October 28 through November 12, 2026. It plays The Royal Family Performing Arts Space, an 89-seat black box at 145 West 46th Street, two flights up (the venue is not ADA accessible).
Skeptic, believer or somebody who just wants a good story about Aunt Linda, it is a very Midtown way to spend a weeknight.
