Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Julianne Moore is coming back to the New York stage, and she is bringing a Greek myth with her. Manhattan Theatre Club gives Sarah Ruhl's Faydra its world premiere this winter, a modern take on the old story of Phaedra, the queen who falls hard for exactly the wrong person.
The setup: Aphrodite fires an arrow, Faydra gets hit, and her sudden, all-consuming desire lands on her future stepson. Ruhl, the playwright behind In the Next Room and How to Transcend a Happy Marriage, uses that to poke at the fight between what we know is sensible and what we want anyway. Les Waters directs. The rest of the cast has not been announced yet, so for now it is Moore plus one very busy arrow.
Previews start February 2, 2027 at New York City Center Stage I, and opening night is February 25. MTC hasn't announced a closing date yet. A movie star in a 299-seat room is the kind of ticket that goes fast, so keep an eye on this one.
