Stage Door
Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

The Lowdown
Picture a waiting room. Now picture six people in it, every one of them carrying an obsessive-compulsive quirk they would really rather you not notice. The psychiatrist they all booked with? Stuck on a delayed flight. Nobody is leaving. Everybody is watching everybody else.
That is Toc Toc, Laurent Baffie's comedy that has been packing houses across the Spanish-speaking world for years, and it lands at the Gramercy Arts Theatre on East 27th Street starting October 1, 2026. Repertorio Espanol performs it in Spanish with English subtitles, so nobody has to fake their way through the punchlines.
The gag is simple and it never stops paying off: put people who cannot stop counting, swearing, checking, or washing into one small room and let them collide. It is warm rather than mean. Everyone in that room is a person first and a diagnosis second, which is exactly why the laughs land.
The run stretches all the way to April 11, 2027, so there is no excuse for missing it. Grab a seat in the 150-seat house and enjoy the collective unraveling.
