Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

King Benjamin has banned women from the stage. Josephine has other plans, and they involve a tenor named Sebastian, a great deal of nerve, and a wig situation that gets away from everyone.
The King's Critique is a new musical comedy with book, music and lyrics by Nat Zegree and Eric Holmes, directed by Catie Davis with choreography by Nancy Renee Braun. The company includes Taylor Iman Jones, Justin Collette, Sky Lakota-Lynch and Donna Lynn Champlin, which is to say people who know exactly how to land a joke and then sing the roof off.
It plays the Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center, running about two hours and thirty minutes with an intermission. Performances begin November 3, 2026 and the run is scheduled through December 20, 2026. Recommended for ages 12 and up, mostly because of the wigs.
