The Lowdown
The setup is brutally familiar to anyone who’s ever fought over a byline or a better desk: low-level editorial assistants at a glossy New York magazine, clawing their way up a corporate ladder that’s actively collapsing beneath them. They gossip, they scheme, they underpay for lunch — and then something happens that turns ambition into something much darker. We won’t spoil it. The Times called it “whip-smart.” We’d add: bring a friend to grab your arm at intermission.
Second Stage Artistic Director Evan Cabnet directs the Broadway premiere, a decade after the play skewered the 2010s media world Off-Broadway — an industry that has somehow gotten both smaller and pettier since.
Previews begin March 17, 2027 at the Hayes Theater, opening night April 5, 2027. Update your LinkedIn before attending; you’ll feel the urge.

Won a seat to Gloria for the price of a deli lunch? Struck out a dozen times trying? Either way, the next New Yorker hitting refresh on the lottery wants to hear about it. Be the first on the board.
