Directed by Tony nominee Sam Pinkleton (Oh, Mary!), Bassichis spends 70 intermission-free minutes part-channeling, part-celebrating, part-roasting Maya’s legacy, all while reckoning with their own bottomless queer search for fame, father figures, and a really good punchline in a deeply unfunny time.
Critics have called it “delightful,” “insightful,” and a “trip through queer comedy history.” It’s the kind of show you leave wanting to immediately tell three people about — and bonus, it’s at SoHo Playhouse, which means the Huron Club downstairs is right there for a post-show drink.
Limited engagement May 21 through June 27, 2026.
