Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.
Where to Buy Tickets
The Lowdown
Thirty-five years of drumming on PVC pipe downtown, and the Blue Men are moving uptown. Blue Man Group – A New Holiday Surprise plays the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre from November 12, 2026 through January 3, 2027, which makes this the group's first Broadway engagement.
If you have somehow never seen them: three performers in blue greasepaint, not a word of dialogue between them, and a lot of paint, marshmallows, and homemade instruments built out of plumbing supplies. The holiday edition is new material built around the same idea, which is a nice way of saying nobody in your party will need to have read anything first.
The Lunt-Fontanne seats 1,509 on West 46th Street, and it has spent the last several winters hosting exactly this kind of limited holiday run. Tickets went on sale in late September 2026 for a run that ends the first Saturday of the new year.
This is about as easy a sell as a family outing gets in December: no plot to keep straight, no intermission crisis, and an excellent chance somebody in the front rows leaves wearing part of the set. Check back here for tickets, plus any rush or lottery once one is announced.
