In October 1936, Oswald Mosley decided to march his fascists straight through the East End. It was a miserable miscalculation. The story centers on Sammy, Mairead, and Ron, three neighbors just trying to navigate their futures before they are forced to stand on the front lines. The show arrives from London with a thirteen-person cast and a brass section that actually earns its keep. It does not shy away from the friction of the era or the messy coalition required to shut down a march. The timing of this premiere is pointed, to put it mildly. Go if you value historical grit over polished, safe theater.
