Full guide →When to go. Head straight out at curtain call. Two-show days are the worst bet at both performances — the cast rests through the matinee and is spent by the evening. A Sunday matinee is the best single bet, because it is a one-show day. In bad weather the barricades sometimes never go up at all.
Who comes out. Anywhere from nobody to most of the cast. Nobody can tell you in advance which three — not us, not the theatre. Treat any list that claims otherwise with suspicion.
What to bring. Tonight’s Playbill and a fine-tip Sharpie, held open to the page you want signed. Ask before you photograph anyone, and keep the pavement clear — it is a working door, not a red carpet.

Outside their apartment, the world is ending.
Delirium is Igor Golyak’s New York-premiere staging of Ionésco’s Frenzy for Two, and it does what Ionésco does best — puts something absurd and something horrifying in the same room and lets you decide which is which. Golyak’s Arlekin Players built a reputation on exactly this kind of theatre, and the production earned strong notices in Boston before heading here. Andrey Burkovskiy and Chulpan Khamatova star.
It plays The Space at Irondale in Fort Greene — a converted Gothic Revival church that seats around 250 and is one of the more atmospheric rooms in the city. Ninety minutes, no intermission.
Previews start September 8, opening is September 24, and it closes October 24. Yes, it’s Brooklyn. Take the C to Lafayette Ave; you’ll live.
